My fashion icon is John F. Kennedy.

Despite most of the fashion attention going to his Missus, the President was a true style legend in his own right. Best captured when sailing off the coast of Hyannis Port, JFK illustrated the essence of effortless prep style. This man was not only an innovator in the Oval Office, he was a trendsetter on the coast of Massachusetts. The crew neck sweaters, the madras shorts, the polos, the khakis; JFK embodied classic, casual Ivy style.

I believe everyone should have their own unique fashion icon. Much can be gleaned about a person by whom they find to be most stylistically intriguing throughout the canon of fashion iconography. I feel that it reflects one not only sartorially, but characteristically. It projects one's inspiration and one's gauge. It is a vision into one's journey via their reference and ambition.
JFK has been my hero for as long as I can remember. But only recently have I wanted to walk in his footsteps for not just how he traveled, but for what he was traveling in.
